about

Tail Lights is about somebody entering your life and making the world make sense again. But then they leave and you are confused about your feelings and some day soon they attempt to re-enter your life but you don't have the same feelings anymore. It it about the whirlwind of emotions that follow someone leaving and then coming back repeatedly. By the end of it all you're emotionally numb and feel nothing anymore when they leave.

lyrics

I'm done
Playing your game
Falling apart
And ending the same
This comes
As no surprise
You've broken down
Fear in your eyes
When all
Is said and done
You'll be alone
With no one
To hold
In the dark
I'm not your light
Find your own spark
Oh!

(I see your tail lights
Fade into the black)
And my heart
Feels nothing at all
(Do you remember
What you said to me?)
I'm a fucking wreck
Please leave me alone

Now I'm
The one alone
We're at the end
Who could have known
That I
Would be the one
Crying for help
I'm less than none!
Falling
Down on my knees
And I'm pleading
Don't leave me!

(I see your tail lights
Fade into the black)
And my heart
Feels nothing at all
(Do you remember
What you said to me?)
I'm a fucking wreck
Please leave me alone

(I see your tail lights
Fade into the black)
And my heart
Feels nothing at all
(Do you remember
What you said to me?)
I'm a fucking wreck
Please leave me alone.

I see your tail lights
And my Heart feels nothing at all
Do you remember?
I'm a fucking wreck
Please leave me alone
Please leave me alone
Please leave me alone
